Re: Automagic revived
I also made the painful transition to Tasker. It is very powerful, and there's a huge community of people supporting it (the /r/Tasker subreddit is especially helpful) as well as a very active and helpful developer. There's also a big ecosystem (many, many more apps include Tasker integration than t...

Re: Widgets not working anymore (under A11)?
Same here (Android 11 on a OnePlus 8 Pro using Nova Launcher). The widgets not working (I had a lot of them) forced me to move to Tasker and UCCW. I've now managed to replace almost all of my flows, but I do miss lots about Automagic (especially the User Interface and the fact that everything is bui...

There is also a longstanding subreddit at https://old.reddit.com/r/automagic/.

Re: What is your post Automagic plan?
No tool that I know of.
It's just a slow process, migrating one flow at a time. It does give you an opportunity to improve your flows, add new features and get rid of any that you no longer use.

Re: What is your post Automagic plan?
I'm on Android 11 and, while Automagic still works, I have bitten the bullet and have started migrating all my flows over to Tasker. Yes, the user interface is nowhere as good as Automagic, and it seems that almost everything requires you to download another third party app to do things, but there i...

Re: Will Android 11 break Automagic?
I've just installed Android 11 on my OnePlus 8 Pro. My Custom Widgets (and I have a lot of them) no longer work. Automagic is also causing Nova Launcher to become very laggy (stopping the Automagic service immediately speeds it up again) - not sure yet whether this is down to Nova Launcher not being...

Re: What is the best smartphone for Automagic?
I hate to say this, but as development of Automagic has ceased, you might be better trying to use Tasker or something similar.
If you are going to climb the learning curve of a new automation product, then it may make more sense to do so with one which is actively being developed.

Re: Change from Automagic to ?
I'm sure that many of us are wondering the same. Each new Android version has new features (and new restriction!) so Automagic will doubtless become less usable over time. I'm not convinced that Tasker is the answer. The user interface is horrible, and you can spend far more time fighting against it...

Re: Is Martin OK?
Thank you so much for Automagic.
I hope that whatever issues caused you to stop development resolve themselves, and I wish you the very best of luck in the future.

Is Martin OK?
It has now been 5 weeks since Martin last posted on the forum (21 June). That's really unusual. In the past, he has always mentioned when he's planning to be away from the forum for a while (e.g when he's going on holiday). Does anybody here know Martin in real life, and can reassure us that he is OK?
