Auto Tethering Your GPS

I have a TomTom and tether my phone to it to get traffic data as in my set-up when I turn on/off Bluetooth it doesn't reactivate tethering and I need to do it manually.

One simple idea that worked for me was:
When phone connected to a specific device via Bluetooth (in this case my car “CAR MULTIMEDIA” as sometimes the GPS wont see my phone unless its already allowing Bluetooth tethering), it turns tethering on and when I disconnect from my car (aka Bluetooth device) it turns tethering off.

It probably depends on how you tether your phone to your GPS.

Is it done via WiFi or Bluetooth?
