I created several flows to find my car when it was stolen. For this purpose I plan to hide an old phone inside my car, aktivate gps and connect it to car power. All informations should run by sms. The "car phone" should not need a data connection, since this is expensive and not always available.

All text inside the flows and the flow names are in GERMAN (sorry, ask me if google translate did not help). In some flows are still some debugging/loggin events. It is all beta and not completly tested. A sms-flatrate is for testing purposes is HIGHLY recommended.

• "Ort per SMS versenden" - to send the location of the car by sms. If the location is not very accurate, it sends the best information available first and tries to send a better location later
• "Anruf Erkennung" - if a known phone calls my car phone, it starts the flow "Ort per SMS versenden"
• "Alarm be Manipulation" - I someone tries to remove the phone it informs me and starts the flow "Ort per SMS versenden" (my phone only detects orientation changes, if the screen is activated, so hopefully the thief tries to switch the phone on
• "Stromversorgung überwachen" - If the phone is disconnected from car power or if battery gets empty it informs me and starts the flow "Ort per SMS versenden". I consider to connect the phone to the car via a battery saver to prevent to empty the car battery with my phone
• "Regelmäßige Standortinfo" - send location update every interval by sms if new location differs more than a given distance to last sended location
• "SMS Analyse" - read and analyses incoming sms and run or (de-)activate other flows
• "Überwachung" - will monitor location of my car and give alarm of changes if I am not sitting in the car by myself. (-not finished yet, see my current problem/question here-)

Anmerkung, da du in diesem Thread die Beschreibung ja auf Englisch gehalten hast würde ich die Einschränkung "(german)" in der Titelzeile entfernen. Dann verirrt sich vielleicht auch mal einer der üblichen US Einsprachler hier herein

Ein altes Handy würde wohl deshalb nicht genügen da Automagic darauf laufen müsste. Falls sich die Bildschirmanzeige eines Smartphones mit Bildschirmschaden (gibts für lau in der Bucht) zur Konfiguration auf einen PC zwangsumleiten ließe, wäre das ein finanzierbares Projekt.

Ich habe mir noch überlegt, ob ich zur Verdeutlichung "Smartphone" schreiben sollte. Natürlich weiß, dass es mit einem alten Ziegelstein-Handy nicht gehen wird!
Aber jetzt hatte ich wenigstens was zum schmunzeln
