Ban a specific SSID

Post by asper » 14 Dec 2015 14:20

Hi guys,

I have not found a way to ban a specific WiFi SSID... can someone help me ? The name of the SSID is "Voice" without quotes. It keeps me disconnecti from my SSID and reconnect to Voice (maybe because sometime the signal is stronger) and I would like to avoid this nasty thing... thank you !

Hi,

Is "Voice" a configured network of your device? Can you go to system settings->Wi-Fi, click on the "Voice" network and select 'Forget'?

Regards,
Martin

It is a free ssid (no password) but it is used for other services different form internet; if i "forget" it my device still try to reconnect to it (probably when its signal is higher than the other one), this is the reason why I want to "ban" it using some AutoMagic "trick" ;)
Can you help me ?

No idea, I was under the impression that a device should not automatically connect to a WiFi network when it's not configured. Maybe test if action Enable WiFi Access Point set to your home WiFi network and option Disable other access points works.
