Would it be possible to have an option to disable the sounds that Android makes when you use Automagic to read an NFC tag?
(I use an NFC tag to trigger my "night mode" - turn off most notifications, start Nightclock app, etc - when I go to bed. If my wife is already asleep, the sound risks waking her up, which I would obviously prefer to avoid!)
I found this site which (to my very limited technical knowledge) seems to suggest that it may be possible: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/369 ... ted-sounds

Re: Disable sounds when reading NFC tags?
Hi,
Automagic is not in foreground when the tag is read so it can not use the method described in the link to disable the sounds.
If you know that you are going to scan an NFC tag, you could also turn the device to silent or vibration ringer mode before you scan the NFC tag and turn the ringer mode back to normal afterwards.

Martin

Re: Disable sounds when reading NFC tags?
Hi Martin
Thanks for the clarification.
Unfortunately if I have to turn the device to Silent before reading the NFC tag, then it will be just as quick to use a Widget to trigger the flow that the NFC tag currently triggers

If your device is rooted you can just delete the sound.
