Dimming screen/overlaying

Currently Automagic allows me to set the screen brightness to 0, but at least on my phone, that's still bright. I see that some apps are overlaying half transparent image on top to make it look like the screen is dimmed further.

It would be even better if both the color and the opacity of the overlay can be defined by user.

Automagic already allowed me to replace a bunch of automation related apps. This functionality would allow me to replace another.

This should be possible with the next version of Automagic. You can show an overlay of a custom widget anywhere on the screen.
You could define a rectangular widget with a solid black color and a transparency of your choice and use an action Show Custom Widget Overlay that fills your entire screen.
