I'm trying to set up custom notifications for SMS (think Lightflow app) and couldn't find a way to blink the led. This would be a really handy feature especially if color and duration could be specified.

Also, is there any way to trigger from gmail inbox email received?

There is a an option Flash LED in action Notification on Statusbar to activate the LED.
A trigger to react to incoming mail is not available yet (this feature is on my todo-list).

Martin - can you add option to swith off all led notification on night mode?
Or does exist other way to do it?
Now i can switch off all sound on night, but can't do it with LED.

I was buy app and look forward to minimal level of support.

It's currently not possible and I'm not aware of a good workaround. There seems to be no official API to control this setting of Android and I'm not sure if it's possible with unofficial methods.

Perhaps you can simulate some user activity by turning on the screen or by using an action Control UI to clear the notifications.

I know on my I9305, under "Blocking Mode" there is an option to disable LED.
