"Locale" variables

Hi,
as a user planning to migrate from Llama to Automagic (I love Llama, but I think Automagic has a great future), I miss the possibility to set "Locale" variables. Sorry, I don't know what exactly this means on a technical level. They were originally introduced by the Locale app. There are some other apps around that know about this kind of variables, such as the "Minimalistic Text Widget". This would allow for presenting the value of internal variables to the user in a pleasant and useful way. Llama can do that.
Greetings,
