facebook?

I'm setting up a "my phone is lost/stolen" set of flows that i trigger with an SMS but i noticed something is missing

i can make it post the GPS location to twitter, i can make it SMS it to people...

I can't make it post it on facebook. Honestly i don't use twitter much (and neither does anyone i know) and that was a backup idea, but if i could make it post to facebook, then my entire family would see "my phone is lost! help me find it! this is it's gps location (auto-posted by the phone every 5 minutes)! Https//google.com/maps/place/<gps location here from other flow, Lat. and Long.>

this would work well, since unlike some, i don't play those "add a million friends!" games and the only people i have added on facebook are my literal friends and family

edit : actually it's not triggering at all. i'm trying to use "#stolen" as the sms trigger word, but it's totally ignoring it...

Not sure about Facebook - I assume it may require a LOT of efforts from the developer to implement this feature. You can use email as a last resort.

In regards to SMS not being recognised - either you do something wrong or you are unlucky to have an unsupported phone.

I found that for example Xiaomi phones (and probably ANY phones with MIUI OS) do not work with SMS nicely. Their native SMS app blocks all another apps from reading SMS at all.
Try to put a SMS trigger with no conditions - in that case it should be triggered from any SMS. And if this is not happening - bad luck.
Also you may be using third-party SMS app that also may block another apps from reading SMS. If this is true, try to uninstall them and use stock app.

I'm using an lg optimus f3 stock rooted,no custom ROM.

I am however using handcent for messaging, but removing that isn't an option for me. I have friends and coworkers with iPhone and love the emoji support. I do think I turned off notifications on the default text app. Maybe enabling them again would help...

turns out it was handcent, it has this "default messenger" option that blocks anything else from receiving SMS, turned it off, now it AND automagic get messages.
