smaller permanent notification

Post by Micha » 04 Jan 2018 15:27

Hello,

I think it would be nice if you could reduce the size of the permanent notification. See my screenshot: there are two of these permanent notifications: Automagic and Pedometer. Pedometer has a small notification with black background. So it is unremarkable. And it contains changing informations. Perhaps Automagic could display the number of active flows or the names of them...

And it is possible to have only a permanent icon in the statusbar instead of this notification? Or will the app be closed by the system?

For smaller notification I don't know how to do so, most likely need to be implemented directly.

To modify the icon, title and any text of the persistent ongoing notification, use action Modify Automagic Nofication on Statusbar.
You can put some glovar here, and modify it some flow, so it will be shown here.
You can even add action to it (up to 3).

Personally I just keep it simple, to show the last boot up date time.
I open Automagic everyday, so I would prefer to get all the information directly on the main app.
But yeah, you can use it to show info from other app too.

Hello Micha!

It is also possible to turn off the status icon in the settings.
Disadvantages I could not determine so far on my four devices.
Whether Automagic is running, I can recognize at any time by own icons or widgets.

Hallo Micha!
