Hi,

The implementation of the root functions in Automagic have been changed quite dramatically for Android 4.4+, Android 4.3 is the last version that still installs a small helper APK file to /system/app.
Please check if you find a file AutomagicRoot-release.apk in /storage/emulated/0/Automagic. If you find the file, you could use a root explorer to copy the apk to /system/app/. It should be possible to activate the root functions in Automagic afterwards.
Please contact me at info@automagic4android.com if this should fail.

Regards,
Martin
