I am having a bit of trouble setting the location for a condition. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong or that how the system works.
I realise that by default the "Longitude,Latitude" gives me the longitude and latitude of the place I currently am when I try to set up the flow.
To use a different location I use the "pick a location" button that gives me access to the map to enter an address. The problem is that this centres the map to the area i searched onto the screen but does not help much since it does not pinpoint the location of the address entered. This means that you have to manually zoom into the map to find the location and tap on it to pinpoint the location before it registers in Automagic.
I tried entering the address in the manually in the "Location Name" but that does not even register and refreshing it always changes the location to where i am physically or position pinpointed on the map.
I would like to know if it is possible for the map to pinpoint an exact location once an address is entered in the map or how to make a typed address in the location name register.
Thank you

Re: Difficulty in Setting Locations
Hi,
You always have to tap on the map to set the location. The search just centers the map on the location but does not change the selected coordinates, you still have to tap the map. The address field in the action is just there to help to get a good name in the description of the trigger. You can use the refresh-button to get the location name/address from the coordinates but often a short text like 'Home' or 'Work' is even better.
Regards,
Martin

Re: Difficulty in Setting Locations
Thanks Martin. Is it possible to add the map pinpointing the location in a subsequent version
Re: Difficulty in Setting Locations
Maybe I don't understand. What do you mean by 'map pinpointing the location'. I don't want that a search automatically sets the location.
Re: Difficulty in Setting Locations
Sorry if I am not explaining myself properly. I will use how google maps work to explain.
Assuming I enter the address 3700 Southwest Freeway Houston, TX 77027, I get a specific point on the map.
This is indicated by the google maps pin.
Is it possible to something like that in the automagic map.
There are flows I require to do take certain actions when I am within a radius (eg. 100) of a place.
Although I know the address I have difficulty locating the specific places on the map to tap myself especially
when I am not familiar with the geography.
This request is because I have bad flows which never triggered and i laterI realised I had missed the exact location on the map.

Re: Difficulty in Setting Locations
The search in Automagic centers the map on the found location so you could just zoom in to a level that makes sense for the radius you want to use, search for the address and click the center of the map.
You can also use Menu->'Map Type' and switch to Satellite, sometimes it's easier to find the proper location.
