Flows getting disabled from time to time

Post by Freakadude » 10 May 2016 11:36

Hi Martin,

Switched to Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge since 2 weeks (running android 6.0.1.) and i noticed that some of my flows keep getting auto disabled (without any error message or notice or anything) from time to time.

I have no idea what may be causing this as i had not experienced such behaviour on my previous HTC M8 phone running anrdoid 4.

Is this a known issue / bug maybe (which i haven't found here) or do you maybe have an idea what might be causing this?

Cheers!

Hi,

It's not a known bug. Please check if there's a flow that uses Set Flow State to disable some flows. If this is not the case, please enable Debug Log and Log to SD card in the preferences of Automagic and send the log to me after the problem occurred the next time (menu->Manage->Log, menu->Send Log).

Regards,
Martin

Hi Martin,

It happened again. My Flow Sound Changes got disabled. Based on what i can see it was executed at 18:26 and for some reason it was deactivated. Based on the log i see that it is disabled due to "Emergency stop count reached, disabling flow and current flow execution" which is weird since this never happened on my old phone. I seem to remember that there is a toggle or setting somewhere which can disable this emergency stop setting if i am not mistaken. Maybe that is the solution.

Anyway attached the log files.

Cheers

Oops, completely forgot about the emergency stop  . You can raise the limit in the preferences of Automagic (menu->Manage->Preferences, Automatic emergency stop), but I don't recommend to raise the global limit. You can also open the flow in question and use menu->Options to set the Automatic emergency stop to a specific value for this flow.

Martin
