Can't create a flow

Post by Siavash » 06 May 2017 14:11

Hi

I have recently installed automagic on my wife's phone (pixel 7.1.2) and imported some flows from my phone for her.

All looks and works fine, except that now that we try to make new flows on the app, it doesn't add the actions/triggers/conditions right away in the boxes. I have to make them once, then add again, and this time select them from the list (when I close the flow and come back it's all empty boxes again)
Also, the action editor doesn't list the variables from previous actions.

I can't clear app data either because there are some global variables there that I don't know any way to export them (some arrays as well) and unfortunately the phone is not root to use titanium backup for it.

Can you suggest a solution for me? I tried reboot, FC and clear cache, but didn't help.

Thanks

Hi,

It sounds like you might have activated system settings->Developer options->Don't keep activities. Please turn this setting off in case it's active. (The next update of Automagic should work even when this setting is turned on.)
If this does not resolve the issue, I recommend to uninstall/reinstall Automagic. Global variables are usually preserved. You can make a backup that includes the global variables by backing up the entire directory /storage/emulated/0/Automagic/ (file variables.bin contains the global variables).

Regards,
Martin

Thanks Martin

I'll give it a try and get back to you (although I don't think such option is active there, but I'll make sure)

About Global Variables: Great hint. I always thought they are stored in the internal database. I will give uninstall a try.

Will update the topic later...
