WiFi Scan result avaible - issue

Hello

Has anyone noticed if the "wifi scan result avaible" trigger works properly on Android 9?

in the previous android 8 the trigger was activated every time the phone provided the results to Automagic with android 9 hours can pass and it is never activated.

Location feature must be enabled in order for the wifi to works properly. The same too, that wifi scanning must be enabled in order for location based trigger to work properly. If you are in airplane mode, sometimes it also won't work properly.

WiFi scan and location are both enabled.

Everything else works fine.

Weather finds my city and WiFi connect normally when at home

The strange thing is that everything is like on Android 8 where flow works fine.
So the only thing i can think is that something works wrong on Pie.
Seems like Automagic doesn't receive the "trigger" (i don't know how explain in a better way) from Android

If sometimes it works, then Automagic should have receive the event. There must some limitation that prevent the phone from scanning for location. Do you activate battery saver or any perfomance limiter? Try to turn it off and see if it works properly now.

Try another method too, use Trigger period timer 5 minutes and action wifi scan in another flow. See if this trigger the flow.

Yes this work.

I have made a test all day long, Automagic never received the event from Android.

So i can say that "WiFi Scan result avaible" doesn't work in Automagic if it's not fired from a "Wifi Scan" action in Automagic.

There Is no battery limitation active or any perfomance limiter for Automagic or every where else on Android.

If only period timer work, then better use condition Wifi Available. This condition should be able to work without action wifi scan or trigger wifi scan result available. So your flow can use Trigger period timer + condition wifi available instead.

Trigger wifi scan result available run just like period timer too, but with unexact timer. So sometimes it triggers 3 minutes once, sometimes 1,5 minutes, sometimes more than 5 minutes.

Other thing that you can check is to enable wifi location scanning, usually located at the setting location or advanced wifi option.

Hi, I have the same problem on Pie. After I update my galaxy s8 to pie, I have problems with WiFi scan results available and with condition WiFi available. My phone during night don't receive results from WiFi scanning. If phone is not active it don't get scanning results, it's just empty.
