Just after turning the phone on about half an hour later I went to the TTS engine options, tried to select
a different voice - there was no sound. Went back, checked other options, and again one option was set
even I unchecked it - Anonymous Userreport. It don't like to support Google with ALL data, it's already
enough what they get without our knowledge.
After that I checked again another voice, and voila - I got the testsound. Went to Automagic flow, yes
it worked without any issues.
So the culprit is the Google engine.

Is it possible to add another TTS engine?
Under options there is
Preferred Engine: Google TTS

If yes, any hints for that?

You can add another TTS engine by installing the apk. I have the link in the post above to xda, where you can download it. I have used this since I was still using tasker, until now, and had very minimum problem.

Thanks for the provided link.
Downloaded the apk, installed it and now it is possible to change from Google to Vocalizer.
Downloaded also German languages from the link from XDA, followed the instructions.
Maybe there is something wrong with my steps. I created the directory "VocalizerEx2",
unzipped one voice into this directory.
Checked in the options the path, ok.
Now it is possible to select the voice, says it is fully supported, BUT clicking the demo voice there is no sound.
Also of course in AM no sound and stucking again.

Any hints? Is there a special directory structure?

Just switched back from Vocalizer to Google engine,
removed all updates from it,
restarted the phone and all is working well with the
Google engine.
May be Google needs some competition

Anyway would be nice to get Vocalizer running.

To get VocalizerEx2 works, after you downloaded the zip from xda, just extract VocalizerEx2 folder to your sdcard. So it should be
/sdcard/VocalizerEx2/
Retain the structure inside it, so it will have "languages" folder, and there is "common" folder inside it again. Put your language download inside "languages", along with the common folder :
/sdcard/VocalizerEx2/languages/common
/sdcard/VocalizerEx2/languages/eng
/sdcard/VocalizerEx2/languages/ged

and so on. Then open Text to speech, choose VocalizerEx2 and go to the setting. Change the "voice data folder" to point to the /sdcard/VocalizerEx2. You should now be able to play the demo speech using the default language selected. Automagic should also recognize the engine then.

Yes, as I thought, the structure of the directory was the problem
It's working now and I can choose between the two.
