Root Access not working. GPS, Airplanemode

Post by meikill » 15 May 2013 09:14

Hi,

i try in a flow to activate GPS and Airplanemode for my running apps. But that doesnt work.
The Flow will be successful processed. But the status for both Settings isnt changed.

The Root App is installed and is working for example the Lock Pattern Action.
If i execute the Lock Pattern Action i got the info message from the Superuser App that automagic has root access granted.
I missed these message for the Airplane and the GPS Setting Actions. And thats the reason why i think that Automagic doesnt try to access the root app for these settings.

Anyone the same problem or can readjust this?
How can i tell automagic to use root rigths for these actions?

My Configuration Samsung Galaxy S1, Android 4.2.2

Hi,

This problem has been reported before but I was not yet able to reproduce it.
Try to uninstall and reinstall Automagic (let the root functions enabled while you do this). Please also try to disable and enable the root functions in the preferences of Automagic one more time.

Are you using some kind of security tool that might modify the APK of Automagic?

Martin

Hi,

i reinstalled both the app and the root part but the behavior is the same. I'll be bothered by the fact that i don't get the message from the Superuser app that automagic get root access. I get the message only if i set the Lock Pattern Action. So generally getting root permissions works for Automagic.

Is the App so intelligent that it dont try to set a switch if the switch is already in the right setting?
When i try to set the Lock Pattern and the Lock Pattern is already set, i dont get the superuser message. If the Lock Patter isn't set i got the message because automagic has to set the option.

I don't use some kind of security tool that the apk modifies.

i got the solution.

i looked at the apps administration and saw that the automagic root app was deactivated. A short click to activate the app and the root functions worked.
I dont know what happens that the app was deactivated. I dont have experienced such a behavior on an other app. But now all root functions are working.
