Samsung Galaxy S4
If I set Periodic Location Update to Network other apps like Car Dock and Google Maps can activate GPS automatically as normal. If I set Periodic Location Update to GPS other apps like Car Dock and Google Maps no longer activate GPS automatically.
GPS issue

Re: GPS issue
Hi,
What exactly do you mean when you say that Google Maps can no longer activate GPS automatically? Is the GPS icon in the statusbar not showing up anymore when you open Google Maps and the flow using the GPS trigger is enabled?
Thanks & Regards,
Martin

Re: GPS issue
That is correct. On the Galaxy S4 you can leave the GPS turned on but it doesn't actually activate or show the GPS icon in the status bar until an app like Maps opens. With the GPS trigger enabled the GPS icon doesn't start when Maps is opened.
Re: GPS issue
Unfortunately I don't have an S4 to test this but it sounds like a ROM problem since it should not be possible for an app to cause this.
I assume you don't automatically turn off GPS with a flow in Automagic?
How accurate is the reported location in Google Maps when you enable the trigger? GPS accuracy and updating or is GPS completely unavailable to Google Maps when the trigger is enabled?

Re: GPS issue
I am on the stock ROM, just rooted. Correct I do not turn GPS on or off with a flow. GPS is not available to Maps unless I manually turn it off and back on. The it operates normally with proper accuracy. If I exit Maps and then re-open it I have to manually toggle GPS again before it works.
