Hi there,
I have a Lenovo P780 running Jelly Bean 4.2. I'm trying to make a flow to activate and deactivate the screen lock pattern security when I'm home or away from. I've noted the warning that this feature may not work properly.
On my phone, the activation works but not the deactivation. I'd like to understand why and if there's a way to remedy to this.
Thanks for the help.
Kind Regards,
Lan
Screen Lock pattern on JB 4.2

Re: Screen Lock pattern on JB 4.2
Hi,
Is there anything in the log of Automagic when the deactivation fails? Could you please enable Debug log in the preferences of Automagic and send the log to me after the action was executed and failed (menu->Manage->Log, menu->Sedn Log, send to info@automagic4android.com)?
Toggling on/off pattern lock is one of the very unofficial features so it's likely to fail on some devices but I'm surprised that enabling works but disabling fails. Maybe you use method Service in Set Lock Pattern State: On but some other method in Set Lock Pattern State: Off?
Regards,
Martin

Re: Screen Lock pattern on JB 4.2
Hi Martin,
I'm sorry for the mistake I made because I saw the successful toast while in actuality, it's not effective, either enabling or disabling the pattern lock. I tried these flows on two phones (Alcatel One Touch Idol S and Lenovo P780) both on Android 4.2.
The reason I'm asking is that it works when it comes to PIN lock setting but not with pattern. I guess if I could get it to work enabling, it would in disabling as well, like with the PIN lock.
Thanks for the help.
Kind Regards,
Lan
