SMS trigger doesn't fire

Hi,

I tried to use the trigger sms received but the trigger never fires.
I read that you have to allow other apps to read the smses but I can't see where you can allow that.

I have a standard Samsung Galaxy 2 Plus and use the standard sms app.

What do I forget?

Thanks in advance...

Have you enabled accessibility setting in Android settings menu?

Hi,

Did you already try to remove all filters in the SMS Received trigger ('All' checked, 'Contains Text' empty)?
Is there anything in the log when you receive an SMS (on the flow list: Menu->Manage->Log)?

Regards,
Martin

Hi.

I have no filters in the trigger.
Also nothing in the log file.

Do you have any other apps installed that might prevent Automagic from receiving the SMS (like GO SMS, Handcent SMS) or some kind of security tools?
Is there a red warning label 'Please ensure that no other app blocks Automagic from receiving SMS' displayed when you edit the trigger?

You are receiving regular SMS? MMS won't work with this trigger.

No, i did not install any other sms apps. But I installed Contact+ and that was the problem. Thanks for you answer, this helped me looking further.

Go to android settings menu, then to accessibility sub-menu and there enable accessibility setting with check box. You should see a list of apps requiring these settings enabled. Enable the automagic 's check box if it's not already.
