Android 4.4 has been released which seems to break some actions of Automagic due to internal changes in Android.
Known Issues:
- [fixed in version 1.20] Many of the actions which require root seem not to work right now (Set GPS State, Shutdown, Reboot, ...).
- network location and user activity detection stops working when network location is switched off in the preferences of Android and switched on again. The device needs to be restarted to make the features work again. This might be a problem of one of the latest versions of the Google Play services or of Android in general. To my knowledge there is no good workaround (let me know if anyone finds a workaround).
A user reported that the following Xposed module works around this problem: [MOD][Xposed] Disable Google Location consent. I have not tested/verified this module. Please be careful when using Xposed modules, create a backup etc. - KitKat ROMs usually don't allow third party apps like Automagic to write files on the external/secondary SD card anymore: Android Police Article. The system permissions can be modified on a rooted device to allow SD card access again, for example using the app SDFix.
