GPS location takes forever

Hello guys
Taking the location via GPS takes forever. It goes on forever. Weird. I use a Fairphone on Android 4.2. Any ideas why?
Already have all the EPO settings enabled. No change.
Had to switch to network based location capturing but it is way too inaccurate.
Any clues why? It is a bug in automagic?

Hi,
Does GPS work for other Android apps on your phone and is GPS turned on in the settings of your device? It can usually take quite some time until an initial GPS location becomes available.
Did you install special apps or security tools that could block GPS for other apps?
Please also try to reboot the device once and see if this helps.
Regards,
Martin

Good questions. They make sense.
Ok, I have disabled the Juice Defender app, enabled GPS, Wifi and Mobile Data. Then I ran the flow. It goes forever for more than 20 minutes. Had to reboot to stop the flow. Location using GPS does not work at all :/
Yes, GPS works like a charm on other apps.

Could you please post the flow here either using the button
Publish Flows/Widgets on the bottom of the forum within Automagic or by mail by opening the flow and selecting menu->Send Flow (send to
info@automagic4android.com).
When you use this app:
GPS Test and run the flow at the same time, does this app get a GPS signal (green status icon)? If yes, did Automagic also get a GPS location?
Are you using any other tools or settings that could prevent location access like App Ops or SRT AppGuard or some kind of Xposed modules?

Ok, I ran GPS test together with the above flow.
Status icon remains yellow and never turned to green.
I do not have App Ops nor SRT AppGuard. But have these Xposed Modules enabled:
- Advanced Power Menu
- Boot Manager
- Gravity Box
- Notification Direct Launcher
- Play Store link in App info
- Received SMSes' Sent Times in Details
- XuiMod
None of these should interfere with the GPS functionality!

OK, it seems like your phone does not get a GPS fix at all since the icon should become green in GPS Test after some time.
Did GPS Test list some GPS satellites or was there no GPS reception at all? Does the status icon turn green when you move to a different location outdoors?

I went outside, disabled Wifi and enabled mobile data. Icon stayed yellow.
Then I went to system settings > Location access > GPS satellites:
I enabled A-GPS and went to the A-GPS settings. There I allowed Network Request and changed Network Used from "Only Home" to "Home + Roaming"
Then it worked, the icon turned to green after a minute.
I see, the signals from the satellites are weak, none over 30 SNR. Is that normal?
I am not sure what A-GPS settings I should do? Can you do any recommendations?

I did some Googling and stumbled on this thread on the Fairphone site:
https://fairphone.zendesk.com/hc/commun ... g-for-GPS-
The official answer suggests to turn A-GPS and EPO auto-download on.
An SNR under 30 is not uncommon but this depends on device model and weather conditions.
An S3 seems to get a slightly better signal than an Nexus 5 (I have no Fairphone to compare the results). At the moment the SNR on the Nexus 5 was below 30 for all satellites, the S3 was slightly over 30 for some satellites. The weather conditions are not very good right now.
