Hi Marin,

After I moved my wife to Xiaomi phone which is equipped with MIUI (an excellent piece of software btw) any SMS triggers stopped working.
It looks like the native SMS app blocks that (and Automagic warns me about that) but I can't find a way of unblocking that.

However MIUI does have root access right "out of the box". Wouldn't it be possible to overcome that SMS limitation by leveraging ROOT access somehow?

I'd think that you should have a request for that at the Xiaomi-Forum/Support in the first instance (or in parallel)?!
Beside that this would be a cheap marketing event for Automagic it'll make them aware of that issue and they might be in a better position to fix it??

@BoBo: it is logical but I googled that and found that this problem was discovered a years ago... and apparently still not fixed so I doubt that my post would make anything better.
This problem affects not only Automagic but other stand-alone SMS-dependant applications (I think Tasker is affected as well)
