Changes lost when inadvertently Home button was pressed

Post by kintrupf » 10 Sep 2014 08:52

While happily editing a large script action I wanted to go back to the flow display to check something out.
But instead of the Back button I inadvertently hit the Home button and was taken to the phone's Home screen.
After starting Automagic again I was in the list of flows and, after navigating to the last edited flow and opening the script action, I found that all changes to the script were lost :o

If I had used the "Recent apps" screen to switch back that would not have happened, I checked. But the Automagic icon sits right on my home screen, so that was faster (I thought).
Shouldn't Automagic show the last activity when started from the app icon if it is already running?

Yes, Automagic should usually show the last open activity but there can be exceptions that I have not been able to circumvent yet (this issue caused most of my hair loss, almost as much as Xposed :D ).
When something like this happens it's usually possible to press the back key to navigate back to the previous open activity. I will invest some more time into this problem in one of the next versions, perhaps I can eliminate some of the cases.
