Tap and hold

I know is there root command tap z y. But is there command that emulate tap and hold for little period of time? It's possible to do this?
Maybe a slow swipe could work. Not sure if this is also available on older versions of Android:
input swipe <x1> <y1> <x2> <y2> [duration(ms)], for example input swipe 100 1200 100 1200 2000 to press down 2 seconds on the same location.
