Kill AOL instant messenger? (AIM)

Post by evebrea » 06 Feb 2015 15:41

I'm on android 4.1.2 using the newest automagic. in my "arrived at home" flow, i'm trying to kill AIM since i get on it via my pc.. but nothing i do seems to kill it, if someone sends me a message i get a new notice on my phone saying the message, and if i click it, it opens aim, with the spinny "please wait" then loads up like it was only suspended not closed.

Can anyone tell me how to kill AIM via automagic?

Hi,

Android often restarts services after some time when the service is killed with a regular kill command.
On a rooted device following action should help: Execute Root Command: am force-stop <package name> (use the [...]-button to select the command since it sows a list to pick the app from)

Regards,
Martin
