Does long and continuous use of proximity sensor destroy or weakens the sensor??

The proximity sensor is used for quite a long duration for many users that make long phone calls so I would assume that it should not be a big problem, however I don't really know for sure.

Hi Martin
I made a simple flow to turn on screen by proximity sensor..

But if phone is turned off for a longer period of time, then the flow don't works.

The device probably turns off the sensor when it enters standby mode. Does the trigger still work for some time when the screen is turned off?

As a workaround you could create a flow with a trigger Shake and enable the flow (no actions required) which should force the device to stay on. However it might drain the battery when the device is kept awake for a long time.
I'll add an option to trigger Proximity Sensor to keep the device awake.

Then it's probably the device that completely turns off all sensors when the screen is off. There's probably not much I can do about it then (except by keeping the screen on using action Turn Screen On but that's usually not acceptable).
Anyway, I already added the new option to keep the device awake in the proximity trigger, feel free to give it a try.
