Not sure what is wrong. I created 6 flows simply to set volumes. I created shortcuts to each flow, and put them all in one shortcut folder on my home screen. There are two problems:
1. Whenever any shortcut is used, the folder stays open.
2. I have two flows, "High volume" and "Vibrate", that keep getting disabled and stop working after being invoked a couple times. I can't tell why this is the case.
I tried attaching the flows here, but I guess I can't. I got the error "The upload was rejected because the uploaded file was identified as a possible attack vector."

Re: Some flows being turned off repeatedly
Despite your bad attitude, I'll try to solve this.
1. This is propably problem of the launcher or folder app you're using. Shortcuts created with Automagic are just regular shortcuts which in itself should not be possible to interfere folder's behaviour.
2. There are couple or reasons why flows would be disabled. If the emergency stop limit is exceeded, Automagic should provide you an error message indicating that. You shouldn't set the global limit too high but you can increase that per flow by getting to a relevant flow and selecting flow options.
Another reason could be that you are using set flow state action. That won't provide any info about disabling flows by default. Just make sure you're not using that where it is not wanted.

Re: Some flows being turned off repeatedly
Hi,
Uploading flow files usually fails since the XML files and scripts used by Automagic are considered suspicious by the forum software since the contents look like Javascript/XHTML.
However it should usually be possible to open the forum within Automagic and by using the green button Publish Flows/Widgets at the bottom of the screen and to generate and paste a link.
Regards
Martin

Re: Some flows being turned off repeatedly
The problem with the flows becoming disabled is resolved. I think it was a combination of a relatively low "Automatic emergency stop" threshold and overzealous flow testing.MURTUMA wrote:1. 1. Whenever any shortcut is used, the folder stays open. This is counter to every other shortcut I've ever used. The folder should close.
The problem with the folder staying open, however, remains. This is a minor but annoying issue. Today I installed and began using the very popular Nova Launcher, and this issue occurs with that launcher well. I don't understand.
I've tried recreating the shortcuts and folder, and it makes no difference. I've tried adding a "Stop Flow" action, not really thinking this would help, and it didn't. I even tried bypassing all actions, and running just the Shortcut trigger, and the folder-stuck-open issue still occurred.
Below is a link to an example of one of the flows in question. The other flows in the folder are very similar to this one.
Any ideas? As I said, it's not a show-stopper, just a bit annoying.

Re: Some flows being turned off repeatedly
Actually, I just noticed that it happens with any flow launched from a shortcut within a folder, if the shortcut doesn't put up a dialog.

Re: Some flows being turned off repeatedly
Does this happen with shortcuts from other apps?
Re: Some flows being turned off repeatedly
That's a really good question, and I never thought about that until now. I had been assuming that only the Automagic shortcuts did this. But just about every other shortcut launches an app in full screen, so it's hard to tell.
Edit: I recently started using Nova Launcher. I just tested with a couple Nova Launcher shortcuts which I had added to a folder (one "Expand Notifications" shortcut, and one "Expand quick settings" shortcut, to be specific). The same thing happens with these shortcuts. So, this issue seems to have nothing at all to do with Automagic, other than the fact that its shortcuts often run flows that don't involve an event that causes the folder to close.

Re: Some flows being turned off repeatedly
Found a workaround. I added a "Show Home Screen" action and made it execute first. Seems to work perfectly.
As an aside: With Nova Launcher, you can have multiple pages for the dock (the bottom row of shortcuts/folders). So, I've set all my volume shortcuts on their own dock, and with the "Show Home Screen" action, as soon as I tap a shortcut, the dock goes back to the "home" dock. Perfect.
Thanks for the replies.
