Missing apps in Package Selection

Post by gilboy » 13 Jan 2016 05:32

Hey all,

I've tried to find this topic, so apologies if I missed this in my search.

I'm new to Automagic - which is a great replacement for Llama! I'm trying to set up a flow where the trigger is based on the active application / package. However, when I try to search for the appropriate package, it it only shows a limited set of packages to select from - far fewer than what I have installed.

Does anyone have any clue as to why?

I'm running Android M, Moto X Pure (unrooted).

Thanks!

Hi,

Automagic does not show every package, just the ones with activities. What kind of app would you like to use that's not showing up? Maybe the filter is too aggressive.
You could workaround this problem by entering the package name manually into the text field.

Martin,

Thanks a lot - I wasn't aware manually entering in the package name would work. That fixed my issue.

To answer your other question, most of my apps (even my active / most commonly used apps) didn't show up in the filter, so it does seem a bit aggressive. Other apps which I rarely touch showed up in this filter. Would you consider removing the filter?

Thanks!
