Should it be disabled for Automagic, or doesn't it matter?
It should make no difference. The battery optimization whitelist only affects 'App Standby' which should be ignored for Automagic since it is running as a foreground service (default behavior, when 'Show status icon' is enabled).
Doze mode will affect alarms/timers registered by Automagic even when it's on the battery optimization whitelist.
