Uninstall issues

Post by Goffinaz » 24 Nov 2016 06:07

Ok, so I paid for and installed Automatic and immediately, playing around with it, I created a location-based WiFi flow by modifying an existing one I found. Unfortunately, immediately after installing the app and making an initial attempt at creating a flow, Wi-Fi would attempt to turn on but would immediately then turn off, attempt to turn on again then immediately turn off and continue to run through this looping cycle of off/on. This was not happening before installing Automagic. When I attempted to Force Stop it from app manager, I found Force Stop greyed out. So, I removed all permissions fire AM and turned all flows off. Bingo... temporarily. Now, even with permissions turned off and all flows deactivated, Wi-Fi is still trying to auto-activate and going through this repeating cycle again, at least half of the time and I have to long-hold Wi-Fi and manually select my network to get it to connect.

My next step was to try to uninstall the Automagic, but when I attempt to do so from app manager, not only is Force Stop not available, but so is Uninstall. What the heck? Has my phone been hijacked by this app? How do I uninstall it??? Please advise. Thanks.

Please, share your flow here so we can take a look at it. Have you grandted AM device administrator priviledges? That makes it impossible to uninstall apps. You can disable it through device settings > security > device administrators.

If all the flows are disabled, AM should definitely have no effect on wifi settings. Try uninstalling and see if that helps. If no, Martin can possibly help you further.
