Execute Actions on Softkey Press

Is anyone aware of a way to execute flows by clicking a softkey? I'm on Android 7.1 on a Pixel XL.

I have the AutoInput app, but can't seem to figure a way to use it for that action. I'm wondering if Automagic can do it.

I am rooted.

GOAL: To launch my mulitclipboard flow by clicking the menu softkey...or by long-pressing the back button.

This is kind of like the functionality that most ROMS have built in (smartbar).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately I can't help you with your question as I've had only Samsung devices which has hardware keys and they behave somewhat differently.
