Hi.

I recently switched to Lineage OS on my MotoG3 Osprey. Unfortunately I'm unable to get the root functions working. I just tried Shutdown device and apparently the OS is not supported.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello Krishna!

The root functions under LineageOS work. (I have two devices with LineageOS 14.)
The Action "Shutdown" does not work with LineageOS. (e. g. "Reboot" works.)

Thanks for the reply. If I understand you correctly, you're saying that the Action Shutdown will not work but Action Reboot with parameters will work. Am I correct?

And if yes, why is that?

Yes that is correct!

Shutdown = does not work
Reboot = works

Why? = I do not know!

Hi,

Is there a red label in the action that tells that the action in not supported on the device?
Please try to use action Execute Root Command: svc power shutdown to see if this one works on your devices.
I'll improve the action to automatically select this method when the other method does not work.

Yes Martin , I've tested it once and it has worked!
(LG Nexus 5, LineageOS, Android 7.1.2 "14.1-20171010-NIGHTLY-hammerhead")

Thanks for testing. The action Shutdown should work again on most devices in the next update of Automagic.
