I see new update for Automagic

Post by husky » 18 Nov 2017 01:16

Hello,

I have on the update queue what I see as a new "version" of Automagic.

Question:

1. Is this the one without accessibility?
2. By doing backup of Automagic APK is sufficient for reinstalling it with the version with accessibility embedded?

Thanks

1. No, this one still can use Control UI and all its glory
2. Yes, just keep the apk and uncheck auto update for automagic, to make sure it stays at this version. In any case the app got updated to the non-acc version, you can always backup all your flow, do uninstall-reinstall to this version. Or you can also downgrade app without losing any data using adb + PC.

BTW, variable passing hasn't been fixed in this version. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=6977

Hi Desmanto,

Thanks for the reply.

I think that at this point I'll play it safe (Yes, I'm not fond of unnecessary risk taking) so for the time being I'll keep my phone and tablet as they are now.
Yesterday I ran a backup for all the apps in the acc list. Also stopped automatic updates from Google Play.

I will restrain myself of posting here. Martin is under too much pressure and he needs all the help we can give him.
My help will be not bugging him with my idiotic questions.

I wish I could do more for him than just that.
I know what he is going through.

See ya when the dust settles down.

Best Regards

@Desmanto: Sorry, the required fix for the variable passing problem was not yet part of this hotfix release since it requires some more testing. I hope that version 1.35 will not be delayed too much but I'm mostly busy updating Google Play store descriptions with accessibility disclosures and with trying to contact human beings at Google (maybe Skynet already took over control ;-)).

Sorry if I seems to add the pressure. It was meant to be gentle reminder only :)

Just focus on the accessibility first. It is more important. If skynet require you to have user's approval/vote to maintain this accessibility, we would help to vote too.

They have been harsh to several apps recently : Substratum, cerberus, UCweb (this one deserves it). Kinda lead me asking what's going there. Maybe it is really the bot are taking over...

No problem, I'm glad to get a reminder if a new version does not include a promised bugfix or a bugfix is not complete!
