Whatever I try, the notification on screen does not seem to pop up.
I use automagic on a HTC U11 with android 8.0.

The flow executes normally and according to the log nothing is wrong, it doesn't display the message though.
I've got all permissions enabled and automagic is allowed to draw over other apps.
Any idea?

How about other, such as notification on statusbar? It seems to be device-specific problem. Try to enable debug log, Automagic Settings > Logging > Debug log.
Check the log for any error or potential issue.

No joy, nothing showing in log either.

How about other notification? Try to find any setting in the ROM that might block it. Usually it is related to notification manager, notification blocker, notification profile or similar.
