Cannot save flows

I just installed LineageOS 16, Android Pie. I cannot modify any element of any flow. I get this message:
Could not save flows:
/storage/emulated/0/Automagic/flows.xml.tmp (Permission denied).
Is this expected? Is there a workaround?

Have you grant all permission to automagic? Especially storage. If yes, then this must be caused by Privacy Guard, a new privacy feature introduced since LOS 15. It will sandbox the app from the permission they accessed. So the app can read the storage, but can't write to it.
Go to settings > Security & Location > Trust > Privacy Guard > uncheck Automagic (change the icon from blue to gray). After this, you have to stop automagic first, and maybe force stop, to let Automagic startup again without being sandboxed. At my case, I have to restart the phone to make sure Automagic startup again without being caged by the privacy guard.
Since you are on LOS 16, can you try the action Set LineAgeOS system setting? I can't use it here, say not supported :
