Re: Android 12
on my device, when it comes to granting access to internal memory it opens the (new?) system file manager (com.google.android.documentsui) which has 'use this folder' greyed out and if clicked it says 'to protect..' see screenshots.
it is pixelExperience12. what android 12 roms you are using?
Re: Android 12
1.37 went in ok for me on a stock Pixel 6. What version are you using? 1.38 was ok when an old Pixel 3a XL phone updated to Android 12 (stock), but no good for a new install on the Pixel 6

That didn't work for me on my Pixel 6, so stuck on 1.37. Let us know if it works for you.
So 1.38 installed on Android 11 survived OTA to Android 12, but I am forever on 1.37 once I tried a fresh install on Android 12 on a new phone.

Re: Android 12
i can setup automagic with 1.37 on android 12 (other permission granting), but when i update to 1.38 it cames up with that permission asking again (like my screenshots up there).Wibbly wrote: ↑08 Dec 2021 11:02> using 1.38. i will try to setup with 1.37 and then update.

like i said: its a pixel experience 12 rom, which means buildin file manager (documentsui) is from google, not from aosp. maybe on non-pixelated roms with (aosp documentsui) it will work with 1.38.
Re: Android 12
Seems odd it survives an OTA upgrade but not a fresh install. I guess one or other scenario is an Android bug, or is it supposed to work this way with old software?
Re: Android 12
Hey all!
I received the OTA update to Android 12 on my Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G and Automagic won't even start anymore. It claims a series of higher level permissions (privileged phone state) being missing - even ADB:ing permissions are pointless...
Have anyone else encountered anything similar?

Re: Android 12
I side loaded 1.37 (on a Pixel 6) and that's working for me with the flows I have.
