Light up on notification

Hello, all.
I'm very new to Android, having switched a few days ago from iOS. I'm looking for a service that will help alleviate the number one annoyance I've found, which I miss from my iOS devices: I would like my phone to light up whenever I receive a notification of any sort (email, text, etc). Essentially, if my phone vibrates (which it currently does for all notifications), I'd like it to light up as well.
I'm currently using the evaluation version of Automagic, but I haven't quite gotten it to do what I'm looking for. I see that "turn on screen" is one of the available actions, and I've set it up so that the device does light up when I receive a text. This works great. But, I can't figure out how to make it happen for my other notifications. Is there a trigger for "any notification" or "device vibrates"?
If I need to set up each one separately, that's also fine -- can I use "recieve email" as a trigger? How about "calendar reminder" or "dropbox files updated"?
Thanks for your help!
