Can you read text to caller?

I'm guessing it's not possible, but:
Is there a way I could read a text/variables to someone that is calling me?
I'm thinking to maybe leave a phone at home so that I can call it and have it tell me, let's say, the public IP of my wifi. So I don't want to use SMS because it would mean using two sms.

This is usually not possible. You can try to play a sound or use speech output to read a text on the speaker and see if the other party can hear it.
