Hi Martin.
I'm reading exif data from a folder with about 1000 jpgs.(version 1.29 EAP) I'm getting this error message on some of them 'stream ended before file's magic number could be determined'. I've checked and those images contain valid exif data. Any idea what's wrong?

Could you send a log to me after the action failed? Does Automagic crash or do you get an error that you can handle with an error-connection in Automagic?
The error is probably caused by a compatibility problem of the exif library I use or the image file is truncated and the other library you use to view the exif data is more robust in handling such cases. I fear I can't do much in such cases except as to report the problem to the developer of the library.
