Sorry, I did not have the time to look at this yet. I'll temporarily add the permission in the next EAP version so you can see if this method works.

Did you check if the VPN app allows to be controlled with action Launch Shortcut? Maybe you could also open the app itself and control the user interface with action Control UI (screen needs to be turned on and unlocked for this to work).

Martin

Unfortunately the permission android.permission.BIND_VPN_SERVICE is only granted to core system apps so it's not possible to give this permission to Automagic.
This only leaves the possibility to use Launch Shortcut, Control UI or ask the devs of Pertino to add a way that allows external apps to control it (like a Shortcut or a Plugin).

Martin

I'll keep with the launch action for now then.
My idea was to connect the VPN at startup on background, together with some iptables commands... I'll try to talk with the Pertino guys.

Thanks Martin!

I am using android phone it has good features also complete user friendly, but unfortunately its software's are not able to provide perfect security that's why I have start using vpn app for android. It gives creates a secure tunnel which allow user to access Geo-restricted sites. I would recommend users to select Ivacy VPN for online security purpose.
If anyone has more information please share it me.

As we all know andorid is quite open to security vulnerabilities but my love to android devices forced me to use android devices with all the security vulnerabilities. On the other hand I am also concerned about my prviacy and for that VPN for android is the best solution. Regarding setting up vpn on android its quite easy and a non-technical person like me can also setup it quite easily by following how to setup vpn on android guide.

Well to be honest, android lacks in security. It is not the secure platform and you are always at the verge of getting your data or information robbed. VPN is indeed a better solution but yu must too some research before settling for VPN for android. Try it first.

Saying "VPN increases security" is akin to saying "Ethernet cables are more secure than WLAN". While this is undeniably true, it falls short of describing the whole picture: specific problems are mitigated, but those are for most part not Android specific. As soon as the security problem arises from what you're fetching from the net, running downloaded data through a VPN makes the system more secure by about the margin of downloading same data through wired Ethernet connection rather than over a wireless network. VPNs are better at obscuring information exchange, for example denying your internet provider insight about kind and type of your internet activity. Considering a system more secure because using a VPN its IMHO a fallacy - notice that the "P" of "VPN" stands for "privacy", not for "security".
