Post by johnjebasundar » 12 Dec 2016 03:56

Time is not triggering on exact time and at some point it stopped triggering at all. Even though I have enabled, allow in device idle mode.

Some devices ignore the request of the app and execute time triggers delayed or combine multiple triggers into a 5 minute time slot. Samsung for example executes the time triggers on 5 minute intervals when the screen is off (the 5 minute interval starts when the device boots).
On some ROMs you can avoid this problem by enabling option 'Like alarm clock' which has the side effect of showing an alarm icon in the status bar.
Some devices have power managers/battery optimizers that can be tweaked in the system settings.

Martin

I have a Huawei P9 lite Android 6.0 and the same problem.I wrote to Huawei and will see what they find out. As far as I know I have all recommended settings regarding idle mode and battery.
If I get a solution I'll post it

Dear Martin,

I found the problem. What I did was, I switched OFF Automagic from Optimize Battery Usage. Now it is working correctly.

You can Add this setting in your next update. (Macrodroid already has this setting. I found this from there only)

Dear Yogi108,

* Go to Settings -> Battery ->Battery Usage -> Optimize Battery Usage (on the options menu) -> Switch OFF

Thanks for testing!

I can add a setting to turn off battery optimization in the next update. I was not yet aware that it has this effect on Samsung devices.
Did you turn off Show status icon in the settings of Automagic?

Martin

Thanks a lot for sharing.
It is a little bit different on Huawei and German language.
There it is "Akku" (battery) and "optimieren" (optimize),
also they have 3 different options for "energieplan".
I tried also the most energy consuming option without any effect on the trigger.
Still waiting for an answer of Huawei.

Happy New Year all together!

Since Yesterday my Time trigger stopped triggering. It doesn't trigger even at delayed time or when we ON the screen manually.

Does rooting helps?
