Update:
Since version 1.33.0 of Automagic, the "Create Calendar Event" action now has an option to Set Visibility of the events. Edit the flow, and update all "Create Calendar Event" actions to set the Visibility to "Private".
Write a SMS text message, then schedule it to be sent at a later date and time.
Features:
- Select from a list of the most FREQUENT contacts.
- List of contacts is filtered to show only MOBILE numbers.
- Select one or MANY contacts from the list (send same message to many contacts).
- A SEARCH function finds a SPECIFIC name or shows ALL contacts.
- Set up a RECURRING message for daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or yearly occurrences.
- Reminders pop up before a message is sent.
- Edit, delete or re-schedule a pending message before it's sent.
- Sent messages show up in the conversation of default SMS messaging app.
Uses and scenarios:
- Capture your thought now before you forget, and schedule it for the appropriate time.
- Write a message and schedule it to be sent at "wake-up", working hours.
- Schedule courtesy reminders or follow-ups with customers.
- Write your contacts a "happy birthday", then send it on their birthday. Never miss a birthday or holiday wish
- Text co-workers and team members recurring reminders to weekly meetings.
- Text reminders to yourself.
- Send recurring commands to automated systems that accept SMS input.
Requirements:

- Change the Google email account to YOUR account in the "Calendar Event" trigger and "Create Calendar Event" action.
- In the phone app settings, make sure to give Automagic PERMISSION to contacts, calendar and SMS.
- Schedule a message at a time when the phone is powered on with normal working signal reception. Obvioulsy, the message will not be sent if the phone is turned off, in airplane mode, or deep in underground parking, etc...
Customization:
- Change the Google email account to YOUR account in the "Calendar Event" trigger and "Create Calendar Event" action.
- In the shortcut's first "Query Content Provider" where it says "times_contacted > 10", you can increase or decrease the number 10 to adjust to HOW FREQUENT your contacts should be.
Basic Instructions:
- Tap on the "Delay and Schedule SMS Text Message" shortcut icon to start the flow.
- A list of frequent contacts pops up.
- From the list of frequent contacts, select one or many, then tap "Ok", OR tap "Cancel" to bring up a SEARCH function.
- Follow the instructions on all dialog boxes (the "Cancel" button on other dialog boxes exits the flow).
- Once a message is scheduled, you can review, edit, re-schedule or delete it by looking for it on the calendar. Look for the event(s) titled "Send SMS Text to". To edit the message, edit the description field of the calendar event.
- A reminder pops up at 1 hour and at 10 minutes before a message is sent, giving you a chance to edit it or delete it if you change your mind.

Re: Delay and Schedule a SMS Text Message
This is awesome ! I would love a yearly option for birthdays.
Re: Delay and Schedule a SMS Text Message
The flow is updated to add a YEARLY recurrence option and minor enhancements.
Import the updated flow, and once again change the Google email account to YOUR account in the "Calendar Event" trigger and "Create Calendar Event" action.

Re: Delay and Schedule a SMS Text Message
Thank you very much for sharing this flow.
It works quite well, though I am a bit worried about muddling up my calendar.
Overall though, I've been waiting for this to be a part of "standard" sms or IM apps for such a long time.
Thank you.
