I would like to be able to trigger automatic by typing a specific phrase. For example if I type $location (using the $ as a prefix for commands) it would delete that text and write my location

You can probably use trigger UI Event with Event Type Text changed.

There are some flows available in the flow sharing area that replace static text templates. You could extend the flow to accept commands or fills in your current location:
