Enableing accessibility service bug

Post by bogdyro » 15 May 2017 04:58

Hi.I'm running AOSP extended ROM 7.1.2 on a OnePlus 3T.
When I try to enable the Accessibiity service of Automagic the touchscreen and softkeys don't work anymore,no matter what I do and I have to restart the phone by keeping the power button pressed.
It's driving me crazy. What could be causing this and how could it be fixed? Thx Martin.

Hi,

Sounds like a problem/bug/feature of the ROM to me. Please check if there are settings available under system settings->Accessibility that affect this behavior. Also try if touch & hold on the screen works. The system might have a feature that ignores short accidental touches or something similar when an accessibility service is enabled.

Regards,
Martin

Hi. I have like 3 or 4 accessibility services available. I've tried enabling all of them but only automagic acts up. I'll put a question up on xda in the rom's thread but I doubt that any oh them uses automatic. Plus they will surely ask for a logcat :D

Maybe it's also the number of accessibility services that causes trouble. Please try to disable all others and see if this helps. Also try to uninstall/reinstall Automagic to see if this makes any difference.
Maybe Automagic is the only app that requests that the accessibility service is allowed to perform touchscreen gestures to simulate arbitrary touch screen input. Maybe the ROM only has a problem with this feature.
