The release notes can also be opened with drawer/menu->About->Release notes

I agree that the release notes are somewhat short on details:
-flow description: open the flow list, click the [...]-button of a flow and use Edit Description. The description will be shown instead of the rarely useful list of triggers/conditions/actions. Removing the description shows the lists again.
-notes in a flow: either select a trigger/condition/action, drag the (+)-icon to a free location and select Note or long-click on a free position of the flow and select Add Note.
