Action - Set WiFi Tethering - Improvements

Hi Martin,

I know this action is marked as not officially supported. But hear me out.

Is it possible to set up WiFi tethering by passing configuration parameters (Hotspot name, security, password).

Many content sharing apps create WiFi hotspot on mobile and offer other phones to connect.
I am looking for something similar.

So when a friend asks for a hotspot, I can quickly use a flow to provide name and password on runtime for that one instance and then default the configuration at the end of session.

Let me know if you think this can be done. Or if I am not clear.

Thats actually a nice idea, currently i just give out the same password over and over. Not very secure :/

Right Bluscre! I don't want to be handing out the password I use. And then go back and change it to something I will remember. Again!

Hi,

The Wifi tethering features are deep inside the unofficial territory of Android so my gut feeling is that this will not be possible on newer versions of Android but I'll add it to the list of features to check.
