EAP version 1.35.0-dev

Re: EAP version 1.35.0-dev
Same problem here. Even though I have Play Protect switched off, it still deleted the EAP from my handset. I've reinstalled (firstly from play store and then the EAP), but all my (20+) widgets have been removed from Nova Launcher, so I'll have to reinstall then all.
Unacceptable behaviour on Google's part.

No problem with Play Protect here. It scans my phone daily and didn't report any problems.
EDIT: Appeared for me now as well. (Previous scan was from 6:02am on 25 Feb 2018 - without any complaint. I scanned manually now at 11:45pm and it popped up as harmful.)

I encountered the same play protect issue. I had the EAP version installed since it first came out, but play protect just removed it yesterday. I reinstalled the EAP, turned off the option for "Scan device for security threats" in Google play, but it still removed the EAP version. For now I am back to the Play store version. Hopefully there will be a way to get the EAP back again.

Same here. It removed EAP version. Reinstalled it.

Don't forget to send feedback to Google. Select "Play Protect" from the left menu, then tap the 3 dots in the upper right, select "Help & Feedback" and tap on "Send feedback". Then tell them what you think of this.
EDIT: Play Protect just uninstalled the EAP version AGAIN - ALTHOUGH I HAD DISABLED IT YESTERDAY.

Yeah, I can confirm disabling Play Protect scan doesn't prevent it from uninstalling Automagic. It's happened twice already. Thankfully, it doesn't delete Automagic's saved data, so it's not that much of a hassle to set it up again.
Re: EAP version 1.35.0-dev
Which menu are you selecting "Play Protect" from? I would obviously like to tell Google precisely what I think of this activity (and to request compensation for the time I am having to spend to set up AutoMagic each time - especially as I had Play Protect switched off!)mbirth wrote:Don't forget to send feedback to Google. It is if you've got 20+ widgets on your home screens, all of which need to be reinstalled in Nova Launchergollyzila wrote:...so it's not that much of a hassle to set it up again.
@Martin - have you been in contact with Google about this?

I have waited for several days. Automagic EAP still doesn't uninstalled by play protect. What happen if you enabled dev admin and the automagic got uninstalled? Usually app with dev admin enabled can't be uninstalled before the dev admin is disabled first.

Play Protect will uninstall it nevertheless.Desmanto wrote:I have waited for several days. Automagic EAP still doesn't uninstalled by play protect.
