Text Expansion 2.0 is here

Re: Text Expansion 2.0 is here
To avoid use of the widget, have you considered automatic expansion after typing a space and then looking at the 'word' just typed to see if it's a expansion shortcut/trigger word? I would set expansion keywords to be not real words anyway so the expansion will work automatically and continuously as I type. This is the way it was implemented on Blackberry devices I used to use, and it was very effective

Using 2103 Nexus 7; 4.4.2
Automagic Premium Version 1.35.0
I cannot get this to work. Either no widget shows or when I click it nothing happens. Just have gb shortcut...but cannot get @dt to work either.

Re: Text Expansion 2.0 is here
@jmuhammad is your automagic app accessibility service on ? If yes , is your automagic app protected or locked from getting killed by app cleaners ? If not nothing will work as Text Expansion flow relies on accessibility service to work.
Re: Text Expansion 2.0 is here
@wibbly replacement when space pressed is possible. I have implemented it without getting rid of the widget as they serve as visual clues that you are typing a shorthand. Please keep in mind that if you type really fast , the space character may or may not trigger replacement as expected as there is a delay of getting the text and replacement done by my flow as well as automagic.
The new set of updated flows are give below (remember to delete old flows and load these) :

Re: Text Expansion 2.0 is here
@vamzicool: First, thanks for the quick reply. Yes, my automagic app accessibility service is on. I do not have any app cleaners that run automatically; I only have SD maid and it only runs when I manually launch it and tell it to (which is not often). I went to Settings—>Apps (running) and I dont see anything going that would interrupt automagic. Admittedly I do not use automagic much but I have one flow that runs successfully everyday 1 min past midnight.
Re: Text Expansion 2.0 is here
I cannot get it to work on my Nexus; I tried it on my LG phone: it works if the shortcut is not at the beginning of the line. Then sometimes I get instant replace, sometimes I get green widget, sometimes I get selection dialog box. BTW, I was trying this on Notepad app and Root Explorer's text editor. I also tried with my external RF keyboard and the onscreen keyboard.
Re: Text Expansion 2.0 is here
@jmuhammad yes the replacement only happens for the last word typed if it is a shorthand. You get instant replacement when you use @ commands. You see green widget when you have typed an existing shorthand. And yes you see the yellow widget when you have partially typed a shorthand which matches some existing shorthands. Go through the explicit documentation given in the previous thread. And now as part of @wibbly request a space after shorthand will trigger replacement.
Re: Text Expansion 2.0 is here
@vamzicool: The new flow works better on my N7; still does not work when shortcut is at beginning of line.
Yes, I read the instructions but I was experiencing either something different or inconsistencies. Before if I clicked on the green widget I was not getting the expansion. A couple of times I was getting a grid on right side of screen with shortcut expansions. a couple of times I got a blue dialog box with shortcut options.

Re: Text Expansion 2.0 is here
@jmuhmmad it works only at the end of the line. As for other inconsistencies i don't know why they are happening. Anyway use the latest set of flows.
Re: Text Expansion 2.0 is here
Awesome stuff... I don't know if it's my setup or everyone, but this doesn't work on email app for me (Samsung default email app). Can someone check it out or offer suggestion to facilitate it working there? Bummer when I'm typing replies and have to switch to Samsung keyboard in order to use shortcuts (it has built in function)
