Autoinput not working properly anymore

On a specific application I am using automagic with Autoinput to disable some hardware keys (volume up & down, back, app switch) and to change the behavior of the home key for that application to create a pseudo kiosk mode.

I am using a key combination (back and autoswitch pressed at the same time) to disable the autoinput key intercept

All was working very well up to few days ago were sudenly autoinput intercepts and blocks all keys and I could not stop autoinput anymore

Anyone aware of a similar problem?

I have double checked that Autouinput keeps having a normal behavior when used with Tasker where I have implemented the same functionality

Can you use other method to disable that flow when autoinput not working? Probably a small transparent floating widget at the corner, to disable the autoinput flow.

I think the accessibility has been killed/restarted, thus separated from Automagic process. Try to check the battery optimization option and make sure to whitelist both.

When it has normal behaviour with tasker, is it on the same phone?

Just FYI, Automagic will soon support that hardware key event in 1.36.0. It is already available in EAP 1.36.0, and so far so good. You probably can finally uninstall autoinput after Automagic support it in the latest stable version.

I am not sure to understand what you mean by "check the battery optimization option and make sure to whitelist both".

And yes Tasker has a normal behavior on the same device (tablet)

It is android built-in battery optimization starting from Marshmallow 6.0 above. Usually this kind of error caused by out of memory or battery optimization, the autoinput or automagic plugin service got killed and restarted in half functionality. By disabling the battery optimization, it won't get killed easily. By the way, what is the tablet model and android version?
